CORU's New Registrant Management System

Needless to say, Ireland is one of the most popular destinations for healthcare professionals from different parts of the world. Students and professionals from India also choose Ireland as one of their favourite destinations when it comes to the healthcare sector. If you are also planning to take your healthcare career to Ireland, there is a big update for you. The CORU registration process is updating. As a CORU registration agency in Kerala, we would like to let you know the full details of the CORU’s new registrant management system..

What is CORU’s New Registrant Management System?

CORU is  Ireland’s multi-profession health regulator. It has recently launched a new Registrant Management System. This system is designed to streamline and centralise the registration process for health and social care professionals.

The CORU’s new Registrant Management System is a single-window platform that unifies various statutory processes, including international qualifications recognition, registration and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) audits. This system aims to integrate the application processes in the Ireland healthcare sector. It also aims to simplify how applicants and registrants interact with CORU, providing improved efficiency and real-time updates.

Why CORU’s New Registrant Management System?

At Breffni Academy, we understand the importance of staying updated with any developments in the study abroad and work abroad sector. Especially, for those aspiring to work in Ireland. Here we will discuss what you need to know about CORU’s new registrant management system. We will also discuss why the new system is significant.

1. Unified Application Process

The new system brings all application types into a single, streamlined and integrated process. Whether you are an international qualification recognition applicant, a new Irish graduate or a grandparenting applicant, the process is now more straightforward and user-friendly.

2. Real-Time Updates

Applicants can now monitor their application progress from submission to approval with real-time updates. This feature of the new system ensures transparency and keeps you informed at every step.

3. Enhanced Communication

The platform allows direct communication with CORU staff through an online portal, enabling faster and more effective support. This direct interaction is another step from the Ireland healthcare regulator to bring transparency among the international aspirants.

4. Simplified Renewals

The renewal process has been updated for quicker and easier completion, reducing the administrative burden on registrants. As this is a single-window platform, the hassles of an aspirant will be as minimal as possible.

5. Digital Forms

The digital transformation of the forms improves accessibility and reduces administrative tasks. Whether you are requesting a Letter of Good Standing or seeking voluntary removal from the register, the process is now more streamlined, integrated and user-friendly.

6. CPD Audit

Continuing professional development audit or CPD audit is a process that confirms that healthcare professionals aspiring to work in Ireland have a system in place to maintain their knowledge, skills and performance. Registrants can complete and submit their CPD portfolios within the system, making the CPD audit process more efficient.

Important Dates of the Latest Updates

The new system will go live on Monday, 25 November 2024. In preparation for this launch, the current Recognition and Registration systems will be permanently shut down on 19 November 2024. During this period, users will not have access to their accounts to complete applications, pay renewal fees, or access their certificates. All data will be securely held and transferred to the new system during the shutdown period.
